Travel – Rome, Italy

Today post it’s about a city on seven hills, Rome.

Italy is a very beautiful country and Rome was on my list of cities to visit. There is so much history, great architecture from ancient, medieval to baroque styles (such a delightful for the eyes) and delicious food.

I flew in February from Romania (Iasi) to Rome with Blue Air (European low-cost airline company) and in 2 hours I was in The Eternal City. Even though, was February the weather was so great, so sunny and warm.

From and to airport (one way)
– bus: 4-6 €
– local train: 8€
– train: The Leonardo Express – 14€
– taxi: taxis in Rome are white – 30-40€

Accommodation: very affordable prices for hotels (a lot of them have breakfast included), B&Bs and apartments. You can find very great deals on Booking and TripAdvisor. You will have to pay a city tax, depending on the star rating of accommodation, between 2€ to 7€ per person, per night.

What to eat: pizza, pasta and gelato (ice cream)

What to see:
The Trevi Fountain
Don’t forget to have coins.
