The last few months I’ve talked a lot about my hair and I’ve reviewed every product that I’ve tried, Tigi Bed Head Resurrection Shampoo, Syoss Purify and Care Shampoo, Batiste Dry Shampoo and Batiste Texturizing Spray, so it’s no surprise that today I have another shampoo review.
My hair story is quite long I’ve talked about it in my last posts, but long story short my hair is very greasy, fine, without volume and until now I couldn’t find a proper shampoo and to be honest I’ve tried a lot of shampoos.
A few months ago I placed a new order from Farmacia Tei, it’s an online pharmacy that has very affordable prices. I wanted to buy a Klorane shampoo, but while I was scrolling I saw the Alpecin shampoo, and I remembered years ago a lot of people talked about how good it is. After one month I think I’ve created my opinion.
My hair is greasy, frizzy, fine and without volume
Alpecin is a German brand that is focusing on hair loss and other scalp problems and develops hair products for men, but that doesn’t mean women can use it.
Despite the fact that I have an oily scalp and I should have chosen the Alpecin Active Shampoo A2 especially made for my problem, I purchased the Alpecin Caffeine Shampoo C1 for hair loss, because the review for the last one wore very good.
“Now you can transport the unique active ingredient of Caffeine to the hair roots during washing. Alpecin Caffeine penetrates the scalp even when the shampoo has been rinsed out. In just 120 seconds the active ingredient travels along the hair shaft directly to your hair follicles.
Based on the intentional omission of softeners (e.g. silicone), the hair structure improves after just a few hair washes with enhanced hair grip. Fine and weakened hair becomes stronger and can be styled better.”
The first impression: has a masculine scent that luckily for women it doesn’t last.
– cleans very well
– helped me with my scalp sebum
– after washing the hair looks thicker
– tangles my hair
Price: 5€ (250ml)
I have a very oily scalp, I had to wash my hair at every 2 days, but now I can wash it after 3 days and if I’m using dry shampoo I can delay the washing for 4 days, so I’m pretty pleased about that.
Now let’s talk about the hair loss, the main problem that this shampoo is targeting. I don’t have problems with hair loss, but I’ve noticed that the amount of hair lost while washing was a bit smaller, so a little bonus for me.
The bad part is that tangles the hair, but to be honest, almost all the shampoos that I’ve tried do that and I’m starting to think that my medium length fine hair is the problem.
I recommend this shampoo if you have greasy hair and you’re looking for a solution, but keep in mind that it might tangle your hair. If you have some problems with hair loss I think it might work if you use it exactly how it says on the label (use daily and keep it on the scalp for 2 minutes) for more than one month.
